PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: xp home
Problem Application Name & Version:windows xp
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:



For some reason some sites including windows update won't recognise that my os is windows. Help!

Hi,

Does Windows Update give an error message? If so, what is it?

Is your internet connection going through an anonymous surfing type proxy?
Are you running some firewall software? If so, trying temporally disabling and then run Windows Update.
