Hello,

I am having a tough time resetting my home page.
After I click "Tools" and then "Internet Options", I get a dialog box that normally has a tab labeled "General". This is how I normally reset my home page.

However, during the past week ... whenever I click "Tools" and "Internet Options", that dialog box does NOT have the "General" Tab.  It's as if that tab suddenly vanished.  Without that General Tab, I cannot reset my home page.

How can I get that General tab back ?
What are some other ways that I can set my homepage ?

Pls advise

Hi,

You can go to this key in the registry: (run regedit - be very carefull using this utility, you cannot undo any changes and they are instant, no save prompt)

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

and look for an entry named "Start Page" and put a URL for it's value.

But, you may have spyware hijacking your homepage, check out Spyware Removers
