PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows xp home
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:pentium III
Error Messages:

My pc is about 3 years old. I have just upgraded to windows xp home edition. It has been suggested that i could upgrade my bios. Is this a good and worthwhile idea? How do i do it? Is it just a question of a download, or does it mean installing something?

Thanks.

When you update the BIOS make sure you follow all the directions to the letter and make sure you dont lose power during the process otherwise you can end up with a major headache or a doorstop the BIOS update is usually a small download couple of megs at most and then you install it ...if everything is working fine on your pc i wouldnt bother with a BIOS upgrade...just my opinion
