Hi,

Lotus is unable to communicate with mail server. Did you verify your account/connection settings in Lotus Notes? Are you using Lotus Notes for email from your service provider or a corporate mail systems? Are you having problems retrieving your mail on a network or the internet?

I am trying to access lotus e-mail from the company I work for. I use AOL as my ISP - do you think that there is a problem with a conflict between AOL and Lotus Notes?

Hi,

If I understand you correctly, you're trying to access your work email while connecting to AOL using Lotus Notes, right?

You cannot simply connect to the internet and receive corporate email like you were connected to the network. Your work email system as to either have POP mail enabled and settings in Lotus Note modified to access it or connect through a VPN.

The best thing to do is contact your work's helpdesk to find out how to access your mail remotely.

Thankyou for your assistance. Ihave resolved this issue by cancelling AOL and subscribing to Tiscali which does allow me to log on to corporate E-Mail

Hi,

I am not quite sure how changing ISP allowed you to access corporate mail, but then again I do not know how your work's email system is setup!

Glad you got it working! Grin
