Operating System Version: Nt workstation 4.0
Error Messages: Nt failed to start

Hi,

(this happens only when i have more than 3 partitions oon my hard drive....)otherwise nt runs fine....

i have nt 4.0, and i have a 40gb hard drive. since nt cannot run on a 40gb hard drive, i have to make it into a bunch of hard drives 2Gb or less. but, it seems i can have no more then 3 partitions on the drive at once, otherwise, after the blue winnt screen comes up, it says nt failed to start cause of an invaild boot paths or something like that. i wanna use all 40gb of the hdd, so is there any way to configure nt to run with 40Gb hdd? or can i have it run with alot of partitions?

Hi,

What service pack did you install?

Install the latest service pack 6:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/SP6/128bitX86/default.asp

Also make sure your existing partitions don't change drive letters through Disk Administrator when adding new partitions. Once SP6 is installed, create new partitions using Disk Administrator.
