PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:




I just moved and when I set my PC up this message is displayed at the top of the screen: "Boot failure: System Halted" I have a Gateway pc with windows XP.
I called tech support at Gateway and they won't give me the time of day because they are not showing that I purchased the extended warranty.
Please help

Hi,

Make sure the hard drive power and ribbon cable were not slightly disconnected during the move. Also verify if the hard drive parameters (settings) in the BIOS Setup (usually hit the <DEL> key during power up to enter setup) are still there or set to AUTO.
