PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Xp Pro Sp1
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: BENQ CDR4816
Error Messages:  When ever after i have put a disc into the drive and read from it..the next disc i put into drive,it still shows & reads as the 1st disc i used Huh?

Very hard when trying to install anything more than 1 disc !!

I have tried everything i can think of but the only thing that works is to reboot machine in order to clear it !!!

Any ideas would be really appreciated !!

Have you tried uninstalling the cd-r and rebooting. XP pro should find the device and reintall the driver. Also try going online and finding an updated driver. Its all worth trying.

Hi,

Look for updated drivers, like bustitnote mentioned. If problems persists, test it in another system and then get the drive replaced (hopefully under warranty) if the problem persists.

Going to try the uninstall and reboot option !!

Have already flashed firmware and problem still persists plus warranty has just ran out on main unit and pc company is a pile of poo so i have to resolve myself !! Drive is only 1 month old !!
