Operating System Version: Windows XP pro
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: NEC ND-1300A
Error Messages:

My computer got the idea that my DVD-R and CD-R drives are SCSI drives when they acctually are standard IDE drives. This happened after I changed my OS from an english version of XP to a swedish one. Before this everything worked fine. I'm having problem with both drives when I try to burn something and I guess these two issues are connected. None of the drives accept my discs (DVD or CD) and won't burn. What could cause this?

try going to device manager and removing them then reboot and they should be redetected and installed see if that fixes your problem

let us know how it goes

When I die, I want to die like my grandmother, who died peacefully
in her sleep.  Not screaming like all the passengers in her car.
