Hi,

Did you install WinME in the same folder as WinXP and then re-install WinXP in the same folder as WinME? It's possible some files where not replaced and now WinXP cannot load them. I am assuming your file system is FAT32 since you were able to install WinME in the first place, then I would suggest you boot off a WinME Startup Disk and at the A: prompt type 'ren c:\windows c:\winold' <ENTER> to rename the Windows folder and then re-install WinXP in a new c:\windows folder for a fresh install. Once all is working fine, you can delete c:\winold if there is nothing in it you need.
