Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I have a gateway Pent 3 w/windows 98
256 megs of ram
30 gig h.d.
I want to reformat to w2k pro (store bought version)
Everytime I try it gets to where it is copying needed setup files and
stops at a file thats currupt. Hit esc to skip file and right away
finds another. I have wiped the drive with killdisk pro 3 times, updated the bios, changed the hard drive and even changed the video card. Still same problem. The w2k cd was tested on another pc and worked fine. Get this- I can restore the pc with the Gateway 98 restore disk and all goes well but after complete I begin to get pop up errors. Any ideas?
