PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: win me
Problem Application Name & Version: n/a
Problem Hardware Make & Model: nvidia geforce4 mmx 440 se vga
Error Messages: the driver that displays items correctly on your dektop isn't working properly

right, i currently have an nvidia tnt2 64 and the desktop resolution will only function normally after reinstalling glsetup. if i install the nvidia drivers, either from cd or updated ones, when windows restarts it will only display 640x480 16bit colour, until glsetup is reinstalled.

i have directX 9 installed (according to dxdiag, although games requiring it do not detect), but no way of reinstalling it or uninstalling it to go back to 8.1

i have bought an nvidia geforce4 mmx 440 se and the same happens, but glsetup claims that it doesnot  detect an nvidia card and cannot be raised above 640x480 16.
the drivers that came packaged with the card do not help. and the "drivers..." message reccurs.

i may not have made my problems/spec clear enough, but please ask for more info

any help appreciated greatly.
thanks
dave

Hi,

Are these the current drivers you're using?

DirectX 9 can be uninstalled, but I have not tried this
