Windows 98 Desktop

My CD RW drawer   will not open when Windows is open. Before Windows opens it will work  but not after Windows opens.

Hi,

Does it open in Windows if there is no CD in it?

If running Win98SE, try booting in Diagnostics Startup Mode and if problem goes away, then you have some software loaded locking the drive.

The problem  went away as mysteriously as it came. I'm cool.
