PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows 98SE
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:TANDEX III ZRX450 PENTIUM III
Error Messages:Trial version of Delphi has expired

This error message first appeared Thursday and I was not able to access the web. On Friday I removed IE5.5 and installed Netscape and I was then able to access the internet. I still get that error message when I click on some of my icons ie - Recycle bin, An icon I created for my utilities. I have downloaded some software from the internet and then installed it on my PC but nothing from Delphi.

Actually, this may be caused by a new adware program that has been installed on your computer.  I work tech support for a major university, and we've been seeing this in the past couple days.  This affects Windows Explorer so My Computer, Control Panel, etc. won't open, they'll just give you the error.

Your best bet is to download Ad-Aware or some similar program to clean the adware off, and this will then let you get Explorer working.

Obviously the tricky part is doing this while Explorer doesn't work, I suggest having a second computer nearby so you can download Ad-aware to and then transfer it to your machine.  DOS commands are probably the only way to do all of this, so start brushing up on them.  Needless to say, this is a big issue, but very doable -- email me if you're having this particular issue and I can walk you through it.
