I have been beating my head against an apparently solid wall for a week trying to set up a simple connection from a new XP Home system and an older Win 98SE machine. Everywhere I looked in the PC and OS Help files was a dead end. There was a live connection but no files were being shared.
I found this forum and I thought that it might be a long shot but I was out of options. As I was formulating my appeal for help, I was reading the links on the "Sticky" topic at the top of the list. Lo and Behold and Hallelluah, one of these links told me step by step what to do, how to check that what I had done (and purchased) up until that point was either correct or incorrect and I was able to get the correct configuration to work.
And I didn't even have to ask.Grin
Thanks for being here.
