Hi,

If I understand you correctly instead of doing a repair installation (from other thread) you did a full install into a different folder, is this correct?

If so, do a backup of "C:\Documents and Settings" to something like c:\backup
Rename your 2 old users (folders) to something else (e.g. add _old to the folders)
Recreate your 2 users (using Computer Management) and copy the contents of user_old to user (where user is the name of the folder in "C:\Documents and Settings" to your 2 users)

If this doesn't work, copy back c:\backup to "C:\Documents and Settings"

Hi,

This is what I was suggesting you do in my first post.

When I say backup "C:\Documents and Settings" to c:\backup, I mean create a new folder on the C: drive named 'backup' then go to "C:\Documents and Settings" and copy everything in it to c:\backup

Hopefully if you already created the same users, that the user folder was not overwritten! Look in "C:\Documents and Settings" for a folder with a [1] at the end. This should be your new account. Copy everything from within the old folder to this one for each users.

e.g. copy everything within 'user' to 'user[1]' (where 'user' is the name of your user)

Hi,

Can you give me a list of all folders under "C:\Documents and Settings"?
