PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:windows xp
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:the message I get form microsoft is a conflict between windows and a intel storage device. everytime I try to defrag my system crashes. I have tried with norton speeddisk as well as system tools. I tried after uninstalling norton, it made no differents.

try defrag in safe mode that way your pc doesnt load the offending drivers that are causing it to crash defrag

I tried safe mode and it did the same thing.

Hi,

Did you update your IDE Controller drivers with the Intel IDE INF from the motherboard manufacturer's CD? If so, it may be your problem.
