Operating System Version:Win 2000
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:LG CDRW
Error Messages:

Hi, I was working on a document in word yesterday and I did the usual save in my CDRW drive.  But the strange thing is that when I tried to open some other files(in the CDRW drive, which is the D: drive) later in Word using Open, it just doesn't show the folders anymore! (There should be at least 20 folders taking 300+ MB space but only shows 1 folder) When I tried to open the file via the recently opened files, it opens. Very Strange. E.g. There were folders named A,B,C,D & E in my CDRW, now when I scan, it shows only A, B & C. D & E are missing, but when I tried to create a folder by the name of D & E, an error occurs! In the attachment, You can see Titus & 7 & 8am folder but they are inaccessible! Someone please help!!

Download Attachment: Untitled-1 copy.jpg 94.41 KB
Right click and select Save Target As... then rename the file as shown here and save.

The 'Titus' & '7 & 8am' folder are marked as files not folders. Did you create them as folders?

I cannot explain what happened to your other folders but I suggest you copy the contents of this CD to your hard drive before more folders/documents disappear!

I would edit and save documents to the hard drive and then once in a while copy them to CD (for backup). You're likely to have less problems doing it that way.
