Hello there

I have this same problem-iexplore causing a problem and then being closed out of IE quite rudely.

I have downloaded Ad-aware's spyware checker and deleted everything it came up with but the problem still exists.I then used the link to Symantec Security response page about the W32.hllw.sodabot worm, but the files that should come up in the regestry editor are not there to delete.

What do you suggest I do next?

cheers

Pete

Hi,

Did you search your hard drive for LEXPLORE.exe?

Yep,no files or folders under LEXPLORE.exe, and although I dont get shut out of IE as often since I installed AD-AWARE ,it still happens.

Any other suggestions?

Just a point ..are you sure it says LEXPLORE and Not IEXPLORE as I had a similar problem and looked up LEXPLORE when the problem was in IEXPLORE or is it that I am a bit dim.

Becareful about updating to to IE 6 because it may not run on win 98 SE or ME.

Oh, alexjp, I didn't mean it. Just punning. Smiley
