PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System: Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:WindowsXP/WinXP's Paint
Error Messages: "RPC-Server is not available"

Hi @ll,

my problem is that I can't copy or paste and I guess this is caused of the not available RPC-Server (whatever this is Huh? )!

I'd be grateful if someone could help me and explain to me how to start this app/server/service!

I noticed this error-message (see above) in WinXP's Paint while  I was trying to copy a part of an image. Now I wonder if it's the same problem [paint & all the other apps where I can't copy/paste(all)]...

Please help me cause I'm getting really crazy Huh?

bye

Thx for the help but this is not what I'm searching for...

This error-message came up in Paint (!) by trying to copy/paste things
...I also can't copy/paste texts in other apps...

I guess after a few minutes running, Windows shuts down a sevice or something which is needed to copy things ...

Damn Sad

I am still looking for an answer for you to help fix this prob and will post possible solutions as i find them

open the Control Panel. Select the Internet Options applet and click on the Security tab. Then click on Custom Setting, find the option "Drag and copy or paste" and ensure that it is enabled.

if that doesnt work go here and give this a try
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.removal.tool.html

I have seen quite a few posts saying that a new version of the blaster worm is responsible hope something here helps

Hi,

first of all merry Xmas to you @ll!
-----------------------------------

I was surprised that there was this worm on my PC but in the end I removed it with symantec's tool.

No changes yet but I'm still grateful for your help and I hope that there will be more solutions for my problem...

I also think that I need to excuse for my bad English...

bye
