Operating System Version:Windows 98 NTProblem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I have just aquired a PC from work for my home use.  Its got Windows NT on it and I am getting an error message with a modem i am trying to install.  It is saying that its not compatible with my operating system when I try to load in the software for it.

Before I go out and buy another modem that is NT compatible, is it simply because I bought a modem that wasn't compatible with NT?  Or can anyone envisage further problems with this operating system?  Will it run ok as just one PC on its own or is it set up purely to run as a network?

thanks for your help.
