PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: WinXP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version: Mozilla 1.5 [Netscape(5.0)]
Error Messages: weird text instead of downloading

Hi,

I have a problem with my Mozilla-client:
If I want to download something from some sites Mozilla doesn't download; it's showing a text with weird signs! Huh?

That's not the problem of the page because with IE it's fine but I really want to use Mozilla!
A Download-manager is one solution but I'm wondering if someone of you knows a solution in Mozilla's preferences...Huh?

I have had this problem a few times as well.

The easiest way is to just right click on the link, then choose save link target as.

Hope this helps

I've been using mozilla for 2 years now. If I get the page with the garbled text that you are talking about, I would just right click and save link target, and it worked every time.

Could you maybe give me a url that you are having problems with? and I will see if I can figure out a work around.

try this: http://www.warcraft-community.de/index.php?page=replays.details&rid=5

it's a download-site for warcraft-replays and I can't manage to download the right file (*.w3g) ...
