PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Dell Dimensions 4300S
Error Messages:Windows cannot open the selected file, please choose another program to open this file from the list or go on-line to select another...

After downloading and unzipping an online, interactive bible research program (kjv.bbl), I was unable to open it.  This is a re-occuring problem when accessing any program with a .dll extension as well as various other specific extensions.  I have accessed all available programs on my PC as well as going online with Microsoft, CKNOW, Dell, etc. to located a program to open these files.  I have accessed PCDoc, used the AOL repair program, etc. to attempt a repair\solution.  I have McAfee virus protection activated, Adware running and XP firewalls in place.
Several months ago a trojan virus was dectected on my PC and subsequently repaired utilizing patches and back-up and repair disks.  Aside from this specific problem, the system appears to operate correctly.

Hi,

Dll files are not executables, therefore they cannot be "opened"
As for the bible program, you may need to download a viewer to read the BBL file from the site that you downloaded this file.
