PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Teac CD-224E CD-ROM Drive
Error Messages:

I don't really know that much about computers, but my friend knows even less! She has a Toshiba Laptop with the above CD-ROM drive, the laptop is used to prepare lessons, as my friend is a teacher. She asked me why she wasn't able to save data onto a disc as her CD-ROM drive doesn't recognise blank discs. Does she need a CD-RW?
I would appreciate any help you guys can give me, thanks.

Yes you need to have a cd burner to save data onto a cd, regular cd-roms are "read only"...

Thanks, I've started looking and getting a few options together for her. It helps that everyone has sales going on as well, I find that I'm shopping for myself.Smiley
