PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:UPS Plug ins
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:



OK my bf and I are getting fustrated we have bought several ubs storage devices and non of them worked we just bought a new one from SanDIsk and its compatible with windows xp but the problem is my computer isn't recognizeing it like we plug it in and nothing I did find something that said my UBS service has stopped does that have anything to do with it and if does can someone tell me how to fix this

Hi,

Check your Services and make sure "Universal Plug and Play Device Host" is started and set to Automatic

Make sure the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" in Device Manager is working properly.

"Universal Serial Bus Controllers" in Device Manager are working properly. although I do not know how to check or were to look for Services and make sure the "Universal Plug and Play Device Host" is started and set to Automatic

Do you have Service Pack 1 as the is a usb reconition fix it there.Plug n Play are in Control Panel/Administration Tools/Sevices/ right click on "Universal Plug and Play Device Host" in the list and open Properties.Check that it is showing Automatic.Also check on "Plug and Play" is the same
