I cannot get the cd slot to open on my computer. Also when I disconnect from the icon in the lower right hand corner of puter, how do I reconnect? Right now I have to restart computer to reconnect to the internet.
I have:
Gateway 2000

32 bit
processor-P55c-200 pentium
model-g5-2--mmx
serial-0007038365

Hi,

Are you saying the cdrom tray is not opening? If so, there is a small pin hole at the front of the cdrom drive that you can use for manual ejects. Use a stretch out paper click and push it into the whole, the tray will open.

As for the internet dial-up connection, go into IE (assuming you're using IE) under Tools > Internet Options > Connection tab. Select "Always Dial my default internet connection" and select your dial-up connection in the white box and click on the "Set Default" button.
