PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

Hi

I'm operating on Windows XP and am having trouble with my printer. I have installed the printer and it works fine (HP1000). However, every time I start the computer I get a message saying that new hardware has been detected and the computer wants me to re-install the drivers every time. This isn't necessary as the printer works fine but you have to get rid of about 5 boxes before the computer stops going on about it.

Any idea how I can make the computer realise that the printer is installed fine and we don't need further drivers.

Thanks!

Hi,

I would delete the printer in the Control Panel under "Printers & Faxes", reboot, supply the drivers, reboot to see if problem goes away.
