Operating System Version:  Win 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Dell 550
Error Messages:

Can't get windows 98 to boot into windows.  It will get to the logon box(for network card)
and when I push ok or cancel it does nothing.  All i get is the desktop background.  Does the same exact thing in Safe Mode and I actually managed to get a Kernel32 error out of it in safe mode.  Anyway I can fix this without losing all my info on the hard drive?  Can't I boot it up from a previous date when everything worked ok?  I've done that before when Dell walked me through it but I cant remember how.
