Go into the Control Panel/Sounds/Voice and click "Volume" in Voice Recording to see if the microphone is turned up and the "Select" box is ticked and then click "Advanced" to see if "Mic Boost" is ticked.

Hi.

I have the same problem with audio in Messenger 6.1. I can view webcam, but whenever I try to do connect audio, it comes back with a message saying there's a problem with either the computer on the other end or the network. Basically, it is not able to find a connection. Webcam connection is fine and my friend on the other end is able to get audio with others.

Can someone tell me what the problem might be? Does my computer being connected to a wireless router have anything to do with it?

Hi,
just discovered that you need a "full Duplex" sound card for audio to operate properly. Check system settings for your version.

This is driving me nuts. Now I'm told by that a half duplex will work.
I think i'll just give up.
