PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: windows xp
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: hp pavilion v50
Error Messages:

Hi, I am new to this forum, I found it while searching for info on Spyware.  I just downloaded & ran Spyware 2004.  It found numerous adware registries and files.  My question is could there be any problem running a program associated with the adware if I delete the adware.
For example: Some of the files are from Broderbund Software or Print Shop.  Will these be affected if the adware files are deleted?  Also, Weatherbug & Gator have associated files.
Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I have not encountered any problems removing the files associated with Broderbund Software or Print Shop, but if there are problems, this can be fixed by re-installing them.

As for Weatherbug I am not familiar with...

Gator itself is spyware and should be completely removed!

I have Weatherbug and use Spybot S&D for searching out spyware. Weatherbug never comes up in the S&D scanner.

Sometimes Weatherbug is picked up as spyware, sometimes it is not.  It will still function if you remove any "spyware" that is associated with this program.

I agree with Admin, Gator should be removed.  A safe alternative to Gator is Roboform, found here: http://www.roboform.com/
