PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows Me, AOL 8.0,
Problem Application Name & Version:MSN Messenger 6.1
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:Unrecognized link library (DLL) initialisation routine failed.
UNICOWS.DLL


I have reloaded MSN Messenger (for my son) and after installation I get the above error message and unable to start Messenger. Have tried several times and the same always happens. I've bet him 2 weeks pocket money I will get it working, started to get worried. PLEASE Help

This was all I could come up with.

Try to search Unicows.dll in your "C:\windows\system",if it does not exist then copy it into this folder and goto "Start"->"Run" -> type "regsvr32 C:\windows\system\unicows.dll"
