I received an e-mail from Microsoft about new downloads but by the time I finished reading all the options, I was totally mixed up.  Is it only me or does anyone else find it extremely confusing and complicated?  I even called on their 800 number and there were so many options....I just gave up!

Do you have Automatic Update configured. If so just let that do the work for you.It will only download the critical files that you computer will need. Just right click My Computer/Properties/Automatic Update/tick the first box and then choose one of the three options below.
