Could you be more specific about your "connection breaking"? Which connection? The connection to the Internet or the connection between your computer and another computer on your LAN?

If you are using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) to share the connection there is a timeout setting in the registry, by default it's set to 300 seconds, which is about 5 mins, so to change the setting goto the gateway machine, click start - click run, type regedit and enter.

goto the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ICSharing\Settings\General

and change the HangUpTimer from 300 to 99999 and you will not have any problems anymore.Grin
