It works it works it works!!!!
Finally after many days of trying to troubleshoot TCP/IP and network configurations, I've finally got internet access on a windows ME client using ICS with windows XP home and dial-up internet.

Incase anybody else is still having this problem, this is what I did.
Went to and found updated driver for ethernet card on client computer, downloaded driver to disk, installed driver, followed instructions from

And .... violla.  Created restore points on both systems just in case. Wink
