Problem Application Name & Version:Prefetch
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:



I recently downloaded a program to disable prefetch.Is there some way to enable it again without reloading windows?Grin

What are you using Prefetch for ? And what was the name of the program that you downloaded ?

You can do this change in the registry but do a backup first for safety.

You can also download a utility from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2495.html if you prefer not to directly edit the registry.

You can also make a batch file, copy and paste this onto notepad and save as

"whatever you want to name it" .bat and save it to your desktop, and click on it whenever you want to clear the prefetch

del c:\windows\prefetch\*.* /Q  

 just change the "c" to wherever your operating system exists
