Hi All, I regularly run Ad-aware 6 on my pc and have noticed some of the entries it picks up are :-
Dialer File Malware c:\windows\coder.ini Generic dialer
Dialer File Malware c:\windows\coder.log Generic dialer
Should I be worried that it's one of those dreaded 'phone dialers' that we hear about so often ?
And if so how do I get rid of this dialer ?
Also I have installed Smiley central from My-way that promises no Spyware, yet I have an entry of My-Way Speedbar Folder Data Miner C:\Program Files\MyWay\
Another question is, is there a way of stopping this from infecting my pc in the first place ?

Remove the dialer and anything else Ad-Aware finds.Just hit "Next" after its finished scanning. You may well find that Speedbar is also puting ad ware and malware on you. You might like to try a free program called "NoAds".It will stop much of this type of rubbish from getting installed on your computer as long as you keep it updated .
