PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version: IE6 Windows XP
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

Been using IE6 for a while but suddenly lately I keep getting "page not found" coming up (you know the one with DNS error?).
This happens on EVERY site I try to access now.
Checked setting and they look OK. Ran virus scanner and no probs.
ISP (freeserve) is connecting me OK and I have no modem issues.

ANY clues as to what to do URGENTLY as I cannot get any web pages at all. Email is OK.

SECOND THING
Why would my computer keep turning back on after I have logged off?
It does this itself and I have to switch off from mains.

Thanks for any help. I am DESPERATE !!!!

First off try installing another browser and see if you get the same problem. If it works ok then you can try a repair on IE. http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_reinstall_ie_and_oe_6.htm

Try here for shutdown problems. http://www.theeldergeek.com/shutdown_issues_in_xp.htm
