PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows Me 4.90.3000
Problem Application Name & Version:MSN Messenger 4.6
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I recently had problems with MSN and uninstalled then reinstalled.  It fixed the original problem but now I am having problems with Messenger.  When I log in to MSN a box appears that says a newer version is available would you like to install it now.  When I hit yes it seems to install but then nothing happens.  So I uninstalled Messenger and re downloaded it.  But when I try to install it, it says that a required resource file appears to be corrupted or that a required resource file could not be found.  Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thanks!!!!

I did download it from that site.  And I followed the directions.  But every time I click on messenger to sign in it says a newer version is available i click yes to install it seems to install, the .net box comes up for me to sign in, I do and then it starts all over again with the box that says a newer version is available would you like to install.  Its just a circle I cant get out of.

I have a similar problem.  I have been unable to upgrade from MSN 5.0 to 6.0 due to an error message, so i've always just gone back to 5.0.  However, now I am told there is a more recent version operating when I know I've uninstalled it!

I'm also getting the error message MSIMG32.DLL when i try to run version 6.0 or 6.1.  I looked at the solutions in the following thread http://www.mytechsupport.ca/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=42&topic=2039   but nothing has worked for me Sad

I have windows 98SE

Help!
