pls help  i have xp pro it  boots fine i even see the  windows logo  loading but when the desk top comes up it is all black, no  start nutton, no tool bar nothing, itryed to right click and nothing i cant even see the mouse, i tryed to boot in safe mode and it freezes it stops loadin  up that way , last known  good figur   does the same thing   as when i    boot reg no  desk top, no start  nothing and whe i try in  safe moode  with prompt  command   it freezes like  safe mode does  
now  i  un checked something in display settin  under trouble shootin  it was something like  enable write combaing or something like that hope yall know what im talkin about ..
my system is   xp pro, amd  anthonl xp- 2400 pls ,2.0   80 gb hard drive    if you need to know more let me know thanks a bucnh.
ps  i cant  find my start up or   xp  disk

If you can get to task manager, go to the Processes tab, and look for a process called 'SYSU.EXE'.

i cant do that  i dont even see the mouse   i guess i just need to go  buy  xp pro again   lol looks like i really messed it  up    ohh well ..

can you get into safe mode and do a System Restore.It could be a problem with the ram. If you have two sticks try one at a time.

safe mode freezes,  and safe with promt commad  does also   it start towork then just freezes  up i also tyred   last know  good config and   that does nothing

whne i   go tosay mode  tyhis is the last thing that happens  i see this
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows system32\drivers mup.sys
thats where it stops and nothing else happens


the same thing happen  in safe mod with promtp  command

Mup.sys" "MUP stands for "Multiple UNC Provider" which assists Windows in locating resources when more than one redirector is on a machine.

Hey! I don't thing it's gona get any worse! Try fixing it, don't give up! Boot and when in windows press Alt+Ctrl+Del to see if Task Manager brings up. I don't Know any further but I guess Pancake has something in mind...

ill just install   xp again    gonna get it from a friend..  
that link  got me all lost aht pancake  posted hehe   im a lilslow at  this stuff  when it comes to  xp  but  98se   im ok with   i only know 98se  cause i had so many probles with  it..
