PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

Hi,

I recently installed a new coolermaster cpu fan/heat sink and thermaltake intake fan to replace my old burnt out fans.  I applied thermal compund to the copper backing of the heatsink before clipping it into place.  After installation, I turned the tower on but the system will not boot.  The monitor remains on standby and no device drivers are recognized.  Both fans work properly but the drives sound like they are checking themselves over and over.  I'm not sure if this would be a power supply problem or a malfunction with my motherboard.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.  Thank you for any and all assistance and support.

sometimes the system my act like that if you accidentally plug the cpu fan into another fan socket...it should be in the cpu fan socket....

it could also be that the heatsink and fan are not dispersing the heat properly...is the heatsink the right one for your processor???
