Hi,

I am not familiar with that webcam but I know many display a dark image when in low lighting but you can usually see something.

I would check the webcam settings to make sure the brightness is set correctly.

If you have not sorted the problem yet then you may find that the adjusting of the cam is slightly iffy! You have to line up a slight notch in the detachable viewer with the lens of the cam. It will work when the two are lined up. You can then adjust the viewer. I hope. What operating system are you on? XP?
