Could you please download Spybot.
Save to disk-----Installl-----UPDATE(important)
Check for problems----fix all Problems in RED
SPYBOT will make a backup, if you have any problems
afterwards, you can restore if you have any problems
accessed from the recovery console of Spybot.

Next, would you please download Hijackthis. Create a folder on your
desktop and Extract Hijackthis to that new folder, name the new folder something like HJT.......
Run Hijackthis----Scan----Save log----Copy and paste the whole contents of the log here. Don't fix anything yet. All info is useful
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3155

1.Run Spybot
2.run Hijackthis
3. post log

If your worried about posting a log, believe me, I'm not trying too
mess with you. Logs are posted everyday on the internet, trying to
fight the battle against spyware and malware...
If you don't feel comfortable, so be it.
I can't force your hand. But trust me, I know you don't even know me,
I'm not out to screw you----just helping with the battle.

I know what you mean, the first link may be down right now
As an example====the guys that made a fix for Coolwebsearch variants
are constantly being under attacks from  Ddos attacks from the
creators of coolwebsearch.. I believe even the makers of Spybot are under
attack also.. I can find you alternate links if those don't work.

If you do decide to run Spybot and have a compaq or hp computer
Spybot will want to eliminate Back Web lite
which is needed by HP's updater. You will either have to exclude those
entries or uninstall thru the add/remove programs, to be on the safe side.

Normally you would run Spybot first and then run Hijackthis and post a
log. I'm off to bed, work tomorrow....
Follow the instructions above. If your unsure, would you please run
Hijackthis first and post a log..We can walk you thru it.
It's crucial you copy and paste the whole log----helps in identifying
what version of Windows you are using---If you have all critical updates
Smiley Goodnight.

P.S. If you do decide to run Hijackthis first, could you please close
down all other open windows before running a scan and saving a log.

You must be running Win9X-Me--- you are missing Visual Basic Runtime Libraries---Newer Operating Systems have it installed by default
Save to disk and double click to install----You should have no problem
after....
