Operating System Version: Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version: Outllok Express 6
Problem Hardware Make & Model: HP Compaq Presario
Error Messages:
Certain unsolicitored emails are very diffcult to be removed(takes a long time) by the "delete" function and I cannot use the "empty the hole folder" to empty the trash folder if the folder contains those messages.

Is there a better way to delete those messages?

You can create "Rules" for these messages and delete them as soon as they arrive in Outlook Express.
Click on Tools, scroll down to Message Rules and click on Mail.
In the Message Rule window click on New.
In the New Mail Rule window, Section 1, select a condition, for example, if the Subject line contains the word SPAM. Then check the second box.
Section 2:  If you want the message deleted then check the third box.
Section 3: If you have chosen SPAM in Section 1 then enter the word SPAM. The message will be deleted.
Section 4: You can name this Rule 1
Click OK and proceed with the next Message either choose a Subject line or the sender's name and call it Rule 2. And so on.
