I currently have a D845HVL Motherboard Socket 478, Intel 845 chipset. It currently has a Pentium IV 1.7 GHz, 478pin 400MHz 256k processor which I want to upgrade.
How do I know if, for example, a higher spec Intel processor will fit my motherboard? Is it simply a case of plugging the new processor in or are there compatibility issues?
Many Thanks!;D
