PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:window 98 2nd edition
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:i open computer and have always had a password before the start up ..(to keep the kids out)i forgot the password does any one know how i can get into my computer????with out it costing me ..

Was this a BIOS password?  If so, just remove the CMOS battery, wait a good while, replace the battery and everything should be fine.  You will have to set up another password.

boot your system in DOS prompt and search for .pwl file  once youo have got this file. delete this. this will delete all passwords stored on system and then you can put your new password
