alright a few weeks ago my wife was using my computer and it seemed alright then she turned it off and when i went to boot it back up nothing happens only two quick beeps (like default beeps) and nothing else. i thought it might be the lcd cord to the monitor but i have a usb opticle mouse and it lights up when the computer is running, and even though it seems like the computer maybe running sounds like i can hear a fan.... anyway thats it nothing else...any ideas? i hope its not something with my hardrive i have so many things i need on this computer! but i was thinking after reading alot of stuff on this forum  that i might just need a new fan or power supply or something...oh yea when i do turn it on though even though nothing happens the power light is on. anyhelp would be great!!!.

P.S. oh yea my wife told me that when i was at work a day or two after this started that she got it to boot into windows but then it froze and it never has booted again.

Hey

What is on your monitor when you can hear the fan?

That might be to do with memory.  If you get it working, check it.

Look very closely at the top left hand corner of the screen.  Can you see a flashing line?

Hi BB,
2 beeps usually means bad memory.
Take care.
