i am pretty new at the pc build scene and stupidly agreed to build a pc for my mate,

problem is that now the pc is built there is no video signal to the monitor ( ie monitor goes into standby )

the motherbaord is a gigabyte without onboard video and i have the monitor plugged into a radeon 9200 in the agp slot.

any ideas ! p.s. yes i know im gonna kick myself after because i know its something stupid..

Hi John,
Need more details.Does the computer power up?Are the fans running?Do you get a p.o.s.t.(any beeps).What version of windows was installed on the hdd?

Please tell me what is the model of the Gigabyte board. If the board has Raid on it, it soohuld be disabled.
