PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows XP (SP1)
Problem Application Name & Version: Can this card be modded?
Problem Hardware Make & Model: ATI Radeon 9000 Pro
Error Messages:

The ATI Radeon I have on my pc is a 9000 Pro. The fan can be removed but can the heatsink? I don't want to force the heatsink off the card because I may damage it permanently. Yes all the screws are off and the ATI site was no help.

Thanks-In-Advance

The heatsink would be held down by the thermal compound which no doubt has hardened with age.Why do you want to remove it ?

thanks for the link Pancake, but i did end up removing it by playing MOHAA and tweaked my graphics settings to get the card really hot, then i turned the system off and quickly pulled the card out. i then budged the card clockwise then counter clockwise, i repeated this until the heatsink came off.
Sadly the stinking vantec iceberq 4 didn't fit. although on the box it does name many models and one of them happened to be my card. so now i had to use one of my older cards a radeon 7500. and no i don't think i'm going to try and this heatsink off. Thanks again Pancake. :-))
