This is the same response I gave to the last poster.....
If you can, can you try this

Could you please download Hijackthis and save it to a permanent folder EG. Open MyDocuments----Right click an empty spot and select NEW--Folder
Name the new folder HJT or something similiar
This is where you want to save Hijackthis too....
With Hijackthis open and ALL other windows closed (including this one)
Do a SCAN----Scan will change to Save Log---Copy and past the WHOLE contents of the saved log here.
Do not try and fix anything, it is all important......

You still have Hijackthis on your Desktop, Could you at least make
sure that you make a folder on your desktop and Drag Hijackthis into that newly created folder
EG..Right click on your desktop-------Left click NEW----Select Folder---
Name that folder HJT or something like that, that is where you want to
keep Hijackthis.exe (Don't delete backups until everything is running oK)

Do another Scan with Hijackthis and put a check next to these entries
and FIX checked, rstart your computer and post a Fresh Hijackthis log
afterwards...

Let's try this-----Could you go to Start-----Run-----type in "services.msc"  without the quotes....
You are looking for Nvidia Driver Helper service
Double click on it and Stop it's service---you can also disable it.
Just making sure that is not you shut down problems----here's what "Answers that work" has to say
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist_n.htm
Your looking for  NVSvc32.exe

Next: Go into your Add/Remove programs and look for these and Remove
them...
Searchbar-------NavHelper----SearchSquire

Next:
With Hijackthis open and ALL other windows closed do another Scan
and check these and then Fix checked

That's looking better Poolboy Smiley

You can have hijackthis fix this entry...
O2 - BHO: NAV Helper - {BDF3E430-B101-42AD-A544-FADC6B084872} - C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\NavShExt.dll (file missing)

These 2 entries may have been set by Spybot. You can fix these also or
follow the directions here and then reset homepage... You can lock them afterwards if you prefer, refer to Spybot's FAQ
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=faq&detail=24

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

To help speed up startup you can fix this entry
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

You can manually fix this process from starting up from my last post
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsvc32.exe
Nvidia Driver Helper Service ( you don't need the Ultimate Troubleshooter)

I highly recommend that when you follow the instructions that Spybot
gives you that you also immunize to help prevent further infections OR
use JavaCools SpywareBlaster 3.0, I have it installed on both our computers. Check it out
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BurnQuick Queue] C:\WINDOWS\BQTray.exe
This entry can be fixed also if you don't need it running on startup.
It is recommended to just create a Shortcut to the program and put in
on the desktop to start the program manually..Save on system resources
on Startup..Unless you use the queing feature...

I'm just going to mention Window Update one more time. It's important
to keep Windows and Internet Explorer up to date, security wise..
(Critical update and Service Packs)
You can either post back one more Fresh Hijackthis log or just get back and let me know how it's going, if your doing alright Smiley

Good to hear poolboy, I really hope that you installed SpywareBlaster 3.0
You can prevent alot of those nasties getting on your computer in the
first place.
Thanx for posting back, don't hesitate to post again if you have any troubles or even if you want to help others with problems
