So I recently got a new computer and I don't know what is going on. If I play ANYTHING with music it either doesn't play the music at all, or it cuts off randomly. Sometimes, if I shut off the thing that is playing the music, fiddle with the volume control, and start the music again it starts to work, but sometimes it doesn't. Apparently, my audio is Realtek AC'97 for VIA (R) Audio Controller. Not exactly sure what that means...
Could it be my speakers are just too old? I really hope that's the case...

Hi cracka,

If you just replaced the tower, your best bet is to try a new set of speakers and see if they work.  If so, problem solved.  If the new speakers don't work either, seek a refund/replacement/repair on your new tower - don't fix it yourself, you may void the warranty.
