PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: presario 2100/ windows xp
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:



I have 7 unwanted websites in favorites. The delete process
does not get rid of them. I have an unwanted default home page. After typing in new page the unwanted one returns after new one is used once. The cookie file won't delete files under internet options
either.

Sorry, but just found a Mar. 3 posting which sounds like a similar problem to mine.  My Adaware did not take care of problem but downloading Spy bot apparently will??

Hi Donn,
Spybot should get rid of it.Make sure you update & immunize before running it.Also do a scan with this.

I downloaded and ran spybot. I still have same problem with unwanted default page and favorites. Any suggestions for this amateur?

I did successfully rid my home page and favorites of these sites with spybot and ad aware.  I still see these pages listed on the start menu under documents. How do you get rid of them there also?

Hi donn, from what I  understand, you have the Classic view when you click on the Start menu.
Try this,
Right click an empty spot on the taskbar-----Select properties----
Select the Start menu tab------Select Customize----and then Clear the list

If any of those Nasties pop up again, could you please post your log, thanx..........
